there's nothing wrong with wanting to start out playing music any way you choose.....the whole point is to have fun. don't ever let anyone make you believe you're "pathetic" or a "wannabe" for enjoying something, because they are just missing out. I was 13 or so when I first started learning guitar, too - just wanted to say good luck, and however you want to learn is a fine way to learn.

well i do play Electric GUitar but i have only been playing for 8 months and i'm only 13 and most bands are teenagers that are like 16-17 but i probably can learn how to play folk rock music online
