have you ever actually been down south? I doubt it. The south voted for Mccain because they are Republicans, not because they are racists. It was likely based more in religion than anything. The Republican party tries to paint itself as the christian party. It's all a lie of course, just as the Dems lie about being pro minorities. Regardless, it was not race that decided that vote. well, maybe it was. 90% of blacks voted Obama after all.
