Great clip of that era In 1944 I was a 16 year old that went to work in a war factory in Yonkers NY dueing the summer We were fire proofing canvass for the services It was last day of wurk for thesummer when the factory expoded killing 3 people Still remember I left the room where the explosion took place by a few minutes I've been living on borrowedd time Thanks for the clip

i fully agree with you! my father was a ww II veteran and all those guys seems to work harder, played hard and had more spirit than people of today! they sacreficed alot...imagine if we had rations? people would panick! thank you for your comments. i enjy putting together thense movies for my hometown from my collection..john

Exactly so! I agree that this was the greatest generation. (I was born in 1964)
I shudder to think what would happen if people then had the morals and attitude they do today! guess we would be sprechen sie deutsch!
