I know what you mean. I had a "brown-eyed girl" back in the 60's. I went off to "Nam", college,etc. and we were never able to get back together. As the song says, "first cut is the deepest".

If Van Morrison and Exile are going to release a version of Brown Eyed Girl to YouTube, then it should be the ORIGINAL and not some weaker, later rendition. This is so far off the original mark that it's difficult to associate it with the first release. Shame on both Morrison and Exile for this.
