It sounds biologically plausible,- but I would look at her cortisol levels in response to stress, since iirc, they share a common pathway. If they do, modification of that could lead to a greater proportion of estrogen becoming masculinized.

I remember taking AP Psychology and having watching a video on the plausible origins of homosexuality. The narrative was lead by a research committee of scientist, and they were conducting experiments on mice. Apparently, there was a correlation between the level of stress the mother was under during pregnancy and chances of her child being gay. The theory is, during stress, the mother secrets higher levels of estrogen, which thereby effeminises the unborn child. Buy it?

You discuss the cause of male homosexuality. What about female homosexuality?

Yes. He mentioned the sexual continium. I was about to mention that before he said it. I completely agree. I don't believe anyone to be completely gay or straight, nor do i believe anyone to be completely male or female. I agree with the comment below kinda, i sorta figured homosexuality to help control the populatin, though i have absolutely no evidence to back that up.

I've always thought of homosexuality as a form of natural population control.
if a speacies is over populating then there will be more homosexuals in that population
so the earth can achieve homeostasis

Just at the zoo here in Utah. But I've seen it firsthand in monkeys, dogs, and heard it alleged by other reputable sources for those animals and others but never for elephants. I think he considers grooming each other with their trunks to be "homersexual behavior".

They say so, put 4 of my male cousins who are brothers, the eldest is gay and the 3rd eldest is bi, so that isn't always true but could most likely be true. |
