are you sure? or did you make that up. go check some benchmarks. it sounds stupid i know, but its true. they have identical performance with the 8800gt winning is some cases. the 9800gt has the same specs but is just cheaper to produce thanks to a smaller fabrication size. its confusing but its nvidia naming schemes gone mad.

the 8800 is almost the same as the 9600gt NOT the 9800gt

Put AA on and the GX2 DIES. Stupid 256bit memory bus. I get 35-45fps avg on my single GX2 @ 1920x1200. But if I dare put 4xAA on, it will drop to a measly 10-15fps avg.

i have an 8800gt wich is identical to the 9800gt in performance, just doesnt overclock as well and costs £20 more due to a larger fabrication process. if you tweak with your autoexe config for a wee while you can get the equivilent of very high mode but without colour grading to run at a solid 35-40 fps with x4 aa at 1280x1024. send me a message and i'll post the contents of my autoexe file to you in a message. save you the hastle of tweaking yourself :)

how good will Crysis run with the XFX GeForce 9800 GT XXX Edition

thats impressive, but how much money did that all cost you. Im running crysis at 20 fps slower then you for my average on very high w/ 2xAA (30 fps) but my pc only cost me $600. :)

I have: - ASUS Geforce 8800 GTX @ 1GB ram - Intel Quad Core @ 2.4 GHz - 4 GB Corsair Pc6200 DDR2 Ram - Display: Samsung Syncmaster 2ms max res: 1680 x 1050 and I get max 30 fps DX10 everything on highest...that just sucks

i hate all the people who say crysis is all about the graphics. it was a great game, it felt really good to play, handled well, had well thought out gameplay mechanics and some good ideas for levels. probably the best game i have bought full stop. beats Gears of War, Farcry2, Cod 4,Fallout3, unreal 3 etc, only games really on a par for that genre was Halo 1. shame crysis was overhyped on the graphics front, people seem to miss out that the game was in fact very fun to play.

thats nothing, take those 4870 2 gigs, overclock them with an intel i7 and it will hit a hundred frames, or hack the software, buy ten ps3's and raid them together like my friend did, it will hit 200fps, anyway all you need is 30fps so just get a laptop with a higher end card and you'll be good, plus cards will be out in regular laptops in 5 years maybe ten that will run twice as fast as this does, don't waist all your money just be patient for a few years
