We had a tornado hit near here at 3am. A big F3. 26 people were killed. One guy who survived said he was asleep and then he was flying in the dark and hit the ground. Broke his back. His whole family was killed. Tornadoes in the middle of the night are truly terrifying because at least in the day you can tell there is bad weather, you are awake, and you can be tuned to radio or tv to warn you it is coming. A heavy sleeper may not even wake for a strong storm.
