Yes, she does know how to write appealing stories, and that doesn't necessarily make her a great writer. She should have stopped after New Moon, and not have done all the Jacob/werewolf stuff, although I'm all for hot Native American guys! If you want to read an author with depth to her stories, try Juliet Marillier's Daughter of the Forest series and all of her other books, actually. Strong heroines abound, as well as hot guys in Ms. Marillier's stories! Her stories never dissapoint!

Breaking Dawn was very hard to relate to. I think she got too far from "reality" such as it is in a fantasy about vampires. The whole marriage thing, then the pregnancy was just a bit too advanced for me, and I'm 32 with a child! I can't imagine how hard it would be to relate to that as a young adult reader.
I think Meyer's books are engrossing, but there are other writers out there that are just better authors. I love the Twilight saga, but it did wear thin on me how the characters became 2-D.

LOL! How come you shouldn't do that not to be mean lol! It would really be a much better story if you did not read the end first..Lol :P

all in all:
It sucked. It had plot holes. How can you have that many plot holes in a story that consists of ONE plot!? And she killed her characters. All Edward did was worry. Bella was even worse than usual. Jacob wasn't Jacob. Alice was barely there. Rosalie was a goddamn selfish psycho ho-bag. The whole thing was boring and contained numerous unnecessary details. She always has to make weak female characters that are weak, dependent and omg-im-clumsy-cute! *cough*Bella*cough*
