I could understand how many of you don't believe this cartoon is racist, even Mexican; however, it does depict many stereotypes: first, the Mexican as lazy, as you see the mice sleeping; secondly, the Mexican as poor, as the mice have no food; and lastly the caricature voice of the mice is also stereo typical. The reason why you some of you don't find it racist is because Speedy wins or it's funny; nevertheless, it does imprint many stereotypes in the minds of children.

being a black/mexican person, i don't find this racis at all, in fact, i've got fond memories of speedy gonzales on saturday mornings. it's funny. stupid sort of, but funny.
