SEMI HIGH-QUALITY VERSION AVAILABLE AT: http://www.vimeo.com/755339 If this video gets taken off I will recreate it from scratch again if I have to. I will make sure that this tribute and our childhood will not disappear as long as I'm around ;) This video isn't here to misrepresent!! If you are the owners of the music and video footage, thank you for making such great media. I have made sure to give you credit at the end of the vid or at the bottom of the details provided here in this section. This clip I edited was inspired by u guys and isn't posted here to intentionally mislead or offend anyone. This is just a fan-made video to show some love out there for what you've done, share it with others, and give u some free publicity =) ========================== ============= !!!!! 80s HEROES UNITE !!!!! There's no FostersHomeForImaginaryFriends here. There is no SpongeBobSquarepants around. If any Bratz show up they will be bound & gagged. And Ed,Edd,and Eddy will be shot on site. I didn't just make this a tribute to 80's heroes, it's also a tribute to 80's kids. For those of us who grew up watching cartoons that had a measure of skill in the artwork. Cartoons that had some depth to their episodes and even lessons to learn at the end. For those who get through the credits and must know: -- "Challenge of the Superfriends" did come out in 1978 but I watched it during the 80s. -- The "Captain Planet" series aired in 1990, but I saw a special pilot episode in 1989. -- There was some confusion with Dragons Lair so to clear it up, yes it was a game but a mini cartoon of it had come out showing the whole game being completed correctly from the first to the last levels. Good enough for me ;D So it came on board since i was able to get hold of it. -- O yeah i found out after I made this video that Tranzor-Z originally was from 1972-1974, but I watched it when it came out in the states on 1985 so yeah that's y i thought it was an original 80s cartoon ;p That's the reason those shows are in my vid even tho "technically" they're not from the 80's. The dates shouldnt be off but if they are, it's wikipedia's fault. This Ultimate Tribute has only cartoons I could get a hold of so if u don't see your favorite, that's why. ^__^ ENJOY!! Phil Collins and the old cartoons. I want to revert back to the 80's and be a happy child watching my cartoons.

Too bad today's animators are afraid or unable to push any envelops. Did you happen to notice how many characters had wepons of some sort. Soccer moms today wouldn't like that.

I TOTALY TOTALY share your sentaments. I have to be honest that this video brought a real tear to me too. Me and my best of friends often speak on the same issue; todays cartoons lacking what we had. It was a golden era for animated charecters, not animation. Animation may have gotten better, but I fear it will NEVER have the perfect mix it did in the 80's. THANK YOU JOSHIRO. 4 STARS!!!

yeah, i don't think i'm speaking from pure nostalgia when i say that the cartoons from the 80's were WAAAAY cooler than most of the ones being made today (even the animation beats out the cgi/half-effort stuff playing now)
