Continuous Improvement - Sterne, Eisenberg, & Wilson
Since the Internet is the most competitive place on the planet to do business, it is vital that small to medium businesses (SMEs) develop as part of their culture a commitment to continuous incremental improvement, a mantra of the Total Quality Management (TQM) movement. In this video interview conducted at the Search Engine Strategies Conference (SES), Dr. Ralph Wilson is joined by Internet marketing experts Jim Sterne and Bryan Eisenberg.
Without continuous improvement, the quality and conversion distance between larger retailers and businesses and their smaller cousins keeps increasing. But continuous improvement requires giving space, time, and resources to this venture, as well as a commitment to keep learning. Sterne suggests keeping a time log for two days, then assessing what can be delegated to a $10/hour employee. The goal is to focus on the important, not the urgent. The key to success is to make the website better for the visitor.

This video is highly interesting. Jim and Bryan are the founders of the Web Analytics profession as we know it and they always give great tips, wise analogies and some laughs. These 7 minutes can bring lots of value to your website!
