Great video, check out my swing please see what you think, any tips would be great. I seem to have a long swing, even with the irons it goes to parallel and with driver slightly more, how can i stop this, without changing the plane of my swing? cheers.

Is this his old swing or new one? Any one know? because i thought his latest swing change was getting the club more outside his hands getting the club in a better position at the top and then dropping it back to the outside hand position on the down swing. If you know post it.

He needs to get his hands closer to his body at impact IMO. This is where he gets it stuck and hits that dead right shot. He has done a great job taking the left side out of play by bumping his hips early in his swing like Hogan. Very noticeable from a side view.

It would seem that way. But even Ben Hogan, who had a very flat swing plane, came off of the shaft plane from address. More commonly, there are TWO planesin the swing, the plane of the shaft at address and a steeper plane running up through the shoulders. Pros typically move from the lower to upper, then back to lower planes during the swing.

When Tiger took the club away he was perfecly on plane. But when he took it to the top he got a little upright. Wouldn't he hit more shots online and be even more consisitent if he would maintain that perfect on plane position going to the top instead of getting a little upright?

Taking the club "outside" isn't "wrong", as long as you can set the club in a good position at "the top" which allows you to swing down "on plane", delivering the clubhead with good path and face angle. Shortening your swing is difficult, but I would suggest setting your wrists early in the backswing and and completing the backswing by simply turning. If you keep the left arm straight (right-handed golfer), and keep things "tight", you should stay short of parallel.

I've a question, if you don't mind answering. My bidy turn and action is very good through my swing, but going back my arms swing outside the line, and at the top I'm past parallel with even my sand wedge.
Are the two interlinked, and do you have a drill to stop one or t'other? Thanks

assuming your right handed, your right hand is probably working too much to the back, keep your right hand solid and it should work up and down. try to get the club up and square as quickly as you can and let your left arm round it from there. hooks dont always mean the club is shut, if its not starting out right, then your face is just open. If it starts right and hooks left then your clubface is shut |
