I love Peregrine Falcons.
They control the Pigeon and other urban pests.

Awesome hunters. So alert and graceful while whizzing through the sky like a thunderbolt thrown from Zeus' very hand.
I wonder if they were introduced into the city area to control pigeon populations?

notice at 3:30 the Peregrine closest to the camera man/women is female and the one farthest from is male, notice the size difference they look very healthy. Terrorizing the local pigeon population perhaps. These birds of prey have been clocked diving at 250MPH!! They seem to be a breeding couple, I noticed a 3rd falcon earlier in the clip maybe a juvenile falcon. Its some very good video of these amazing birds of prey!

I believe that the peregrines Swoop at him because they where defending their territory and maybe offspring. But thats some amazing footage!!!

OMG i love these birds! Owls too. i thought i saw some kind of owl just today when my mom and i were walking around near some woods. but we are nor sure what it was but the face seemed to be wide kinda like a owls face. this was in rhode island by the way. |
