this is vintage chris! He was the real star of the show. i always enjoyed watching NE during my college days. the episode where joel tried to regain his NY edge by renting out the godfather movies was my favourite. maurice's face at the end here is priceless!

Northern Exposure is a great show. To me it is one of the top 3 shows ever. It encompasses beauty, simplicity and adventure in a way that I have never seen before :)

This is my all-time favorite scene from NE :)
The writing was AMAZING & what I wouldn't give for a show with similar writing to be on TV now :( I saw good ole Hollin on Mad Men recently & it made me hunt this down on here. Looks like I'll have to get the shows & fall in love all over again with Chris :)

I was sitting here wondering what could I find on youtube, and I thought of "Northern Exposure" sure enough I found it too I also love Youbtube for so many many reasons, and today I have a new addiction watching clips from a brilliantly written show from almost two decades ago. sigh...until today It lived only in my memory!

how does it happen that "Law and Order" is on for 19 years with the same basic stories and this eclectic wonderful show only lasted for a few years? Hollywood. Go figure.

OMG, I am SO glad you have posted this! This scene was the most memorable of the entire series for me, I still think of it often and went out and bought the Enya CD the next day. Listening to it yesterday, I suddenly thought -- I could probably watch it again on YouTube! I LOVE the internet!
