" Therefore also said the wisdom of God I will send them prophets and apostles and some of them they shall slay and persecute. That the blood of all the prophets, which was shed from the foundation of the world, may be required of this generation."

"Contrary to the doctrine taught" Salvation is the grace of God through faith Christ period/" "What is faith without works" Church is set up today as in those days, in accordance to Apostles, prophets, teachers, etc. stated in the New Testament.

"Those who don't choose Jesus Christ" I'm not familiar with who this is suppose to refer to since we're the Church of JESUS CHRIST of Latterday Saints.

Omiolo, I am simply trying to save you from this deception of mormonism. Paul wrote in Romans, "..watch for those who cause divisions and create obstacles contrary to the doctrine that you have been taught.." what the early Christians were taught was that salvation is the grace of God through faith in Christ PERIOD. Those who don't choose Jesus here go to eternal punishment in the lake of fire, those who do spend eternity with Him. That's it...nothing else.

Well, let's see, here's one..We believe that men shall be punished for their own sins and not for Adams transgression (Article 2, Articles of Faith) Simply read Romans 5, we are all born into sin, and saved by the blood of Christ. Another: "In Mormon theology, there are three heavens; the Telestial, the Terrestrial, and the Celestial" No hell? So basically all people here go to some form of heaven. There's plenty more...if you want let me know, I'll PM you.

"By first of them I meant Joseph Smith" which belief in particular. I have yet to find one of the doctrines that he taught and we have the exact words that I find NON-bibilical. so please elaborate.
jepas (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
By first of them I meant Joseph Smith - the "prophet" for whom I'm not sure.

"if a mormon looks at the original beliefs held by the first of them" please let us know who you consider the 'first of them'.
jepas (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
What I don't understand is that if a mormon looks at the original beliefs held by the first of them, how can they seriously follow this "religion"?

Be good if all Mormons were sealed in a dome away from the world. Then we wouldn't have to listen to the crap that flows from your mouth in copious amounts.
