I love this song and this band The government doesn't care about people like us they dont care if you havent eaten in 3 days they dont care if your sick and can't afford to get help. All they care about is themselves. They are just a bunch of greedy white haired old men.

I know what punk is. I know roughly what the republicans stand for. Thats why I stated if they felt that way about the Republicans then go for it. Thanks for letting me know a bit more about the republican party though. Even though I don't live in america, I'm welsh.

trials : Punk is about antiestablishment... the establishment being Church, and Government. The mix of church and government is seen prominently in the Republican party because of their mixture with political/religious conservatives. Making the republican party the obvious target

whole bunch of emos? there were only three of them. and blink-182 is not an emo band. emo is a genre of music. when it is used as a derogatory cop-out when one can't think of a better term, then whoever is saying it sounds like a dumbass. sure, blink-182 had a hand in furthering the emo movement and bringing it out into the mainstream by bringing bands like taking back sunday on tour with them. this doesn't make them emo. blink is a pop punk band, and one of the most influential at that.

where the hell does everyone get that blink182 sings about losing girlfriends. maybe once or twice they sing about a girlfriend.. and there not emos. everyone thinks that the bands they dont like r emos. thats just a fags way out. and i didnt say that any government is bad in your songs. it just ruins it sumtimes when EVERY song is political. and sk8boi4321 is rite. if they hate america so much. fuck off and move.

The whole hating republicans thing does get a bit tedious after a while. There is a place for politics in music, musics about expressing feelings at the end of the day, so if they feel that strongly about how much they dislike the republicans then go them. At the moment if I had to write some lycris it would probabbly be about enjoying life and piss taking. Suppose when we get older our views change, and so do our lyrics. Harsh to think this is a political debate.......
