it wasnt a treadmill test - it was just random exercise i did at home (this is my personal hellige smu intensive care monitor i bought used). it took about 10 minutes until my resting heart rate was about normal again, i'd say.

thanks for the response, if you bike most places, try turning some commutes into a workout you can buy a wearable HR monitor and track your efforts. what caused you to get this treadmill ecg test ? and how long did it take your HR to go back to near normal after test.

i stopped exercising because i had a feeling it was enough - i could've went further if i wanted to, it was just getting uncomfortable. fitness level is 'quite bad' (i go to most places by bike but apart from that dont get any exercise but sit in front of the pc all day) so my resting heart rate is about 80. my calculated, in theory possible maximum heart frequency is 202 bpm.

saw some alerts on the monitor towards 176bpm did test terminate due alerts/arrythmias, exhuastion, becuase its seems you could have went above 180bpm i dont think you plateaued and peaked out on the test but reached a pre-determined cutoff. whats your fitness level and resting HR (upon waking up) height weight

Wow this is wild. I had no idea you could mess with the EKG like that.
