The 1st Amendment is to protect religions from the government, not the protect the government from religion. :-/ Congress can make no restrictions on religions. Except for restricting people from collecting their taxes.

He called for reinforcements, having claimed to be fighting two enemy submarines... but nobody else saw any sign of the enemy.
Later, Hubbard anchored in Mexican coastal waters and ordered his crew to conduct gunnery exercises. (Which could have sparked off an international incident, if not a war.)
Hubbard was demoted twice, and eventually resigned his naval commission because he was about to get a psych evaluation. In short, he was as nutty as a squirrel's turd.

Why do religions get tax breaks when the 1st Amendment of the us constitution is against such advantages for organised religious institutions?
Anyone? |
