"states facts that a five year old could discern,". Well I don't know about 'discern'. They might be questions that occur to a 5 year old but they are looking for clarification from their life mentors (parents). This little ray of reason is soon quashed in many.

"I mean Christianity has itsflaws but is for the most part good. Right?" If it were a minority religion I might agree with that. Unfortunately it is a dominant ideology that is responsible for a great many bad and potentially disterous things. Given how christianity has been for most of its years I would really have to disagree, and point out that it is not the good in christianity that you are refering to but its deferal to modernity in the form of science and philosophy.

with all those good little Christian viewers who want nothing more than togo on with their lives. And if their children are smart, then they will read biology textbooks, and learn about the human genome project, andabout evolution, and at that pointmake up their own minds. I guess he is doing what is required to get the kids to muster the courage to get themselves out of their suppressive lives. But, how bad could it be? I mean Christianity has itsflaws but is for the most part good. Right? |
