Therapeutic riding is great. I volunteered at a place and it was amazing to see the look on the riders faces when they see their horses.

My dad and I are trying to get a grant to open a stable for this very reason. I have a relative who is 8yo and has never walked and does not know how to talk he is mentally retarded. We own horses and just coming out to see them makes him smile and his mom says he babbles all day when he sees them and I would love to put a smile on a kids face that has disabilities. There is no equine therapy centers around here and we would love to take care of that.

Great video, my horse is used weely at the riding for disabled in New Zealand and to see people taking their first ride off the lead, or first canter is so wonderful. We've even had him doing slow careful jumps.....the smiles and joy that come from this are truely priceless
