Bebbop adverts just about every trop out there. and does it with style. Bleach almost sets the standard in tropes. Ichigo may the typical shonen boy, but he seems to be THE shonen boy. He runs at a giant moster with a freaking chair!

meant to be one of the best ever, i prefer samurai champloo by the same guy but only just cos this is an amazing series jst finished it and its really worth it, especially for the music!

Bleach is a conventional anime with good production values, but it does tend to follow cliched character development and the same sort of serialized storytelling that revolves around an 'arc' that occurs in every other long term anime series. Bleach is okay, but it's nothing that I've never seen before. Bebop at least told a good story without having to resort to the cliches, and on those occasions it did, it would turn the cliche on its ear. Not better, not worse, just different.

I have heard of this Anime, but never had the feeling to watch it. I love how the theme song has core solos and has a flying part to it. I like the jazz. I think I might give it a try now...
