problem is that steve isn't doing his own thing. He's an ACE guitarist, but he's trying to play like satch on this one. Yes, Steve is trying to compete. And when you come to Satch's playground and try to win,...you'll lose.And Satch isn't even competing, he's simply trying to enjoy himself. Well, when you've jammed with vai, malmsteen, petrucci, and alle the other speedmonsters, why care about somebody like Steve trying to outplay you? Satch even slows down and shows he knows which notes to hit

Lukather could probably do just about anything on guitar, and can do better improvisation, and is probably twice as fast as Satch, but nobody can beat Satch's compositional and phrasing talent!

i don't know, it just seems like lukather has to outstage satch at every point in this video. i mean, he even tries to push satch a little bit out of the way so he can get his guitar in front his. there's plenty of stage there, i'm not sure he had to be doing that.

I actually never liked Satriani till this video. He seems like a very cool guy and gives Luke cudos very humbly and respectfully, Check 6:48 if there and any questions! Oh and Luke plays keys and Drums just as good!
