Portuguese India (Goa, Daman, and Diu) were invaded and forcibly incorporated into the Republic of India on December 19, 1961.
Portuguese India continued as an overseas territoty of Portugal after 1947, recognised by UN resolution 1541 as late as 1960.
However, in December 1961, 40,00 Indian troops invaded and after a 26-hour fight the small Portuguese garrison surrendered.
A UN resolution condemning this blatant aggression was vetoed by the Soviet Union and India stayed in control.

Indians never kicked any Portuguese out or never intended to do that. When India got their independence, Goa automatically became part of India - I heard the Portuguese went back to reclaim it but the Indian Army were all over Goa. The Portuguese were not kicked out. Correct me if I am wrong. I am Indian and I personally believe if the Portuguese had Goa for over 450 years - Goa should at least be part of Portugal (450 years!).
