There's a big fat clue in Muddy's 'Mojo Working' (as in, 'I've got my mojo working'). A mojo is a spiritual force that possesses the musician, subverting his conciousness and turning him into a conduit between this world and some other dimension, through which cosmic music flows. Wishing for a mojo hand is simply hoping for a permanent anatomical hardwired connection to your mojo, so that you can access it whenever you want to! Now... THAT would be nice!
