I must cry every time I see the end of the game. I love Zack. He's... kinda like a very good friend from me. It's like my best friend is dying... Zack is amazing and a damn cool Hero. <3 I like Zack more than Cloud.. ^^

Cloud never actually joined SOLDIER. he was just an infantryman. in FFVII, he said he used to be a member of SOLDIER, but that was just an illusion based on Zack's life that Cloud believed to be true.
As for Cloud being able to throw Sephiroth off the platform, I have no idea how he did that.
