That's very true. Anata has a way with experimenting with dissonant harmonies and contrapuntal structures to make a highly unique sound that I honestly have heard nowhere else, and I fucking love it. Also, their lyrics are pure poetry. Emotional, yet powerful; violent, yet melodious. As I like to say, the less influences you can find, the more interesting the music, and I can spot very few influences in this music. It still kicks ass though :D

I see what you mean. Im quite with you overall. Gotta say Anatas creativity gives this whole thing a different feeling which the other classical acts dont have, kinda.

okay you see metalcore is stuff that has breakdowns most the time but the breakdowns aren't the thing that make it core cause just because the band has breakdowns doesn't mean their a core band like the faceless but core music also sometimes has a bass player that plays the bass like a guitar, it has a lot of tapping, the drums follow the guitar, or the drumming has almost only double bass, and most of the time the songs are 2-4 minutes long so their not anywhere near epic you get it now

Yeah, that starts with ends with core and makes sense, coremetal starts with core and makes no sense.

well u know, you got deathcore, metalcore, emocore, grindcore, porncore... etc.

i like those bands you said lol if you name a band that's deathmetal, technical deathmetal, or thrash metal i most likely know them but i'm really just getting into bands that are like folk metal, black metal, and heavy metal

Although those bands listed are all class acts, I prefer the old-school tech death far more. Gorguts, Atheist, Demilich, Iniquity, Adramelech, (early) Cryptopsy, Martyr, etc. are all bands that, although not as technical as the ones you mentioned, had far more soul and energy than any tech death band today.

I still have absolutely no idea what "core-metal" is supposed to be. An example please?
Thundermaned (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
Lol... no I'm refering to that core kinds of metal... in metal there are different kinds of core... so I'm just talking about general kinds of core-metal
But you're right, there is no actual coremetal |
