There's a weird coincidence with Floyd and Syd - when they were recording "Shine on you crazy diamond" - a song about Syd - he turned up at the studio at that exact moment, having put on weight and shaved off his hair and eyebrows. None of them recognised him but Rick Wright said later "seven years of no contact and then to walk in while we're actually doing that particular track. I don't know coincidence, karma, fate, who knows? But it was very, very, very powerful"
