I would think it is due to our irrational system where nobody feels the sting of punishment due to their actions which over time gets people to accept horrible behavior as normal. But that's just me. I'm just saying, in countries where there is due justice for criminal action, instead of making money off of their slave labor while they work in a box with some luxuries, people think more logically and the crime rate is much lower. But maybe it's just me.
