Oh btw WE were attacked in case you forgot that (USS Cole, Saudi barracks, Twin Towers, etc.) and we are STILL being attacked daily. Should we hug those that would destroy us and sing kum ba yah or fight the enemy where they cowardly burrow in holes to the best of our ability?

It came in because you questioned what American values are, and I'm glad to tell you about our rich history of Christianity, which is being attacked by liberals and Muslims alike as the enemy. Many Americans want people like Palin and McCain who stand for those American values that are under attack.

Okay since you're playing dumb:
"While we are zealously performing the duties of good citizens and soldiers, we certainly ought not to be inattentive to the higher duties of religion. To the distinguished character of Patriot, it should be our highest glory to add the more distinguished character of Christian.
You do well to wish to learn our arts and ways of life, and above all, the religion of Jesus Christ. These will make you a greater and happier people than you are."

i've no idea why you've brought religion into this. how moral is it to kill in the name of god? would a god even waste its time with beings who would kill others because they think THEY are right and moral. or would a god merely scoff at them and think them pathetic?

tell that to the american soldier who's working to destroy the Islam dispositions and habits. tell that to the Islamic man working to destroy ours.

"And let us with caution indulge the supposition, that morality can be maintained without religion. Whatever may be conceded to the influence of refined education on minds of peculiar structure, reason and experience both forbid us to expect, that national morality can prevail in exclusion of religious principle."
So our Founding Father, and the only president EVER to be elected unanimously, stated that without morality -which only comes from religion- we cannot have political prosperity.
ricaleigh007 (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
"Of all the dispositions and habits, which lead to political prosperity, Religion and Morality are indispensable supports. In vain would that man claim the tribute of Patriotism, who should labor to subvert these great pillars of human happiness, these firmest props of the duties of Men and Citizens. The mere Politician, equally with the pious man, ought to respect and to cherish them. A volume could not trace all their connections with private and public felicity."

And remember this is the party who claims to be the party of minorities and women. See how they really feel about women?
Poonard (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
i support folks like Ron Paul Jesse Ventura Dennis Kucinich and a few others They might play in their party's lines but they are individuals in their own right which makes the difference between them and people like McCain or Obama That's also why they will probably never win because they won't appeal to you the way YOU want them too they will however be honest with you, whether you like the truth or not please pit the stances of the folks i mentioned to those of McCain or Obama

what are american values? look around you before answering. and also before answering, you're values might not be my values. im not a conservative i am not a liberal...i am an independant and i reject the two party system because it allows these politicians to pull of stunts just to convince the folks to vote for them. Palin is a stunt, Obama is a stunt...so is Bush, Clinton, and the rest of them. |
