I liked RZA and Common in this movie.
It bugs me about why this was overlooked for Oscars; only noms were for Ruby Dee (Denzel's mom in the flick) and art direction. Ridley Scott, Denzel, Crowe and Brolin were ignored, as well as costume, editing, etc.
Some say that this was because of the fictionalization of the story and more fabrications than facts. What the hell, there was a bit of artistic license taken in Walk the Line, and that was an OScar winner!
