Didn't actually beat the record, can't beat 3 GTX 280's in SLI, but yeah. :)
Also, how the hell are you affording all this? Are you like rich, or sponsered, or what?
Also, thank's for the vids. :D

Oke the 9800 gx2 is one card with multiple gpu's inside (2x 8800GTS).
If you don't notice any performance jump over your previous 8800 gtx/gts/gt then you have a serious problem.
Most of the reasons are:
1. Power supply (your card needs a good one, mostly 500 watt is a minimum for a system with duacore/quadcore and 4gb ram and a dvdrom and a sli mobo.)
2. Drivers,Use the latest (otherwise the Beta!!!)
3. GO to nvidia control panel and change a few settings,MGPU = YES and 1 Monitor(no dual)

um the pci-e 2.0 doesnt make a difference. not yet. not even a 4870x2 uses up the bandwidth of pcie-1.1 yet! and thats the fastest card out.... its good for future proofing but its not a requirment just yet. I have a p5k wi fi black pearl edition. and its still a beast.
Crysis runs at around 25-30 fps on my set up on very high.

Well...I don't think you'll manage 60-80 with that rig, but you should be getting up to around 40-50 average, everything Very High. What resolution though? |
