That's only if you use the "Raw mode" option when backing up the drive.

at 2:40, it says that it wont let you resize the copy, but that you would need to use a partition manager afterwards to alter your paritions to the new size.

can someone tell me if "drive to drive" option can be used for upgrading hard drive (80gb to 160gb) in a laptop using this software. my current drive is single partition C:/

tedted777: this would require from RTSW (RunTime SoftWare) to write things that are not specific to Disk Imaging. Better let them devote all their resources to doing well the core: imaging a not-in-use HD (implying at least one reboot); restoring that image on an OTHER hard disk (again implying another reboot), that MUST, without any other command than the I/O key, boot from the image of the main partition.
