No, no "emo" when I was a teenager in the 80's. We mainly called people who listened to The Cure "batcavers". The Cure should never be labeled "emo" for any reasons.

Stop trying to categorize music for christs sake. There are two kinds of music: Good and Bad. The Cure fall into the category of Good. "Emo" is short for emotional or emotive and that's what EVERY kind of music is for christs sake; it doesn't matter if it's Johnny Cash, The Cure or Panic at the Disco. Who's with me? Take your megacategories and shove them up your emo! lmao. Good and Bad. End of story.
