This is it, the conclusion to my series of slideshows depicting the armies of Warhammer 40000, this one video containing over 100 still clips. A brief description on the forces I have featured in my videos: The Space Marines: Finest and most uncompromising of the Emperors warrior, these genetically altered super-human soldiers will gladly give their lives for their god-emperor. The Imperial Guard: Making up the vast majority of the Imperiums soldiers the Imperial Guard is the greatest military force in the galaxy. Hailing from a number of different worlds the men of the Imperial Guard crush the enemies of the Emperor with powerful artillery and heavy lasgun fire. The Inquisition: The Inquisitions purpose is to root out and destroy every heretic, mutant and alien in the galaxy. The forces of the Inquisition are powerful and mysterious often appearing from nowhere to bring the Emperors holy judgment down upon the unfaithful. None is beyond the watchful gaze of the Inquisition. Chaos Space Marines: At the dawn of the Imperium fully half of the Emperors finest warriors turned their backs upon him and delved into the teachings of Chaos. With all the super-human abilities of the Space Marines and the unnatural powers of Chaos the Chaos Space Marines are a forced to be feared. The Eldar: The Eldar are the remnants of a once great alien race that had the entire galaxy at their command, but not long after their arrogance and pride gave birth to the Prince of Excess himself, his birth cry shattering their civilization. The Eldar now survive on the Craftworlds, massive star-ships that endlessly drift around the galaxy, war and piracy being the only way to stave of extinction. The Orks: The Orks are the most war-like aliens the Imperium have ever discovered, The Orks have an unquenchable thirst for violence. Even if they cannot bash the skulls of the 'umies or whatever else crosses their path they will gladly fight amongst themselves. The Tau Empire: The Tau are a young and dynamic race, far from the power of Terra many planets have already fallen to the cause of the Greater Good. The Tau seek to unite all the races of the galaxy and destroy all those who oppose. The Tyranids: The Tyranids came from another galaxy, hell-bent on devouring everything in their way. These xenos are one of the greatest thereats the Imperium has ever encountered, for they have devoured entire galaxies before, whats to say they can't do it again. The Necrons: Millions of years ago, before even humans stood on Terra and stared into the sky the Necrons promised their souls to the Star gods. Now the Necrons awake from their stasis-tombs to fulfill their age-old promise to the C'tan. The Dark Eldar: After the fall of the Eldar some radical Eldar decided they could stave of the hungry gods by giving them what they wanted, blood and pain. The Dark Eldar appear from the depths of the Web-way to snatch away victims to torture or simply made sport of. Woe betide anyone who is taken alive. The 41st millennium is the darkest of all times and everywhere, soulless specters and slavering monsters are poised to extinguish the life of Humanity. Enjoy! Music: Planet Hell - Nightwish

I think you should read more about fluff of each race and for your first army decide who you like most. That's how I decided, maybe later I will start other army but now I'm just waiting for my first figs :D And btw, your in much better situation then me, I don't have any friends who play this game and it's more expensive where I live... :/

I forgot to mention that while you won't have the full experience of playing Warhammer 40,000, there is definately a great form of fun/pride that comes from having a huge item in front of you to touch and paint in great detail, it is pretty close.

You know if you don't want to spend that much money, but still have the Warhammer 40,000 experience why not try Warhammer 40,000 Dawn of War and its sequels Dawn of War: Dark Crusade and Dawn of War: Soulstorm? Dawn of War is basically the real time computerized version of the same table top game with access to each of the races, their units, story, and such while only having to pay a faction of what the table top version would require.

Thank you, I am leaning toward the Tyranids since theres more of them and my friends have said they are pretty good. but what about the price it seems like a little much. anyways thanx.

Thanks for the comment. Well, if your deciding on your first army it really falls under your preference, if you want just uber powerful units that are ridiculously hard to get rid of go for Necrons or if you want to buy tons of models and have a massive army that looks great on the tabletop, go Nids (Tyranids by the way) Each army has it's good points and bad points, I'd recommend talking to your friends about it and they should point you in the right direction! Hope this helped a bit! Ziggy
