politicians are put there just to give you the ilusion that you have freedom of choice. Chomsky gives the analogy of the toothpaste and the politicians. it's not so much the "information" on the toothpaste what we should be looking for nowadays, but rather the ALTERNATIVES for "toothpaste". this in itself is an ilusion of freedom. they give you what they want, not what you asked for. it's time we find an alternative for toothpaste. voting isn't going to change anything.

Enlighten us, what does it take to have at least a sufficient or decent understanding of politics? What parts of Chomsky's politics are "ridiculous"? Does your idea that the general public is "completely retarded when it comes to politics" mean that democracy is not a good idea? Or just democracy with an uneducated population? Does this mean that the profit-based information systems that have dumbed us down should be condemned? By the way, corporations promote him when there is a profit
