Watch movie again, it is one part.

thats one of the principal reasons it failed the cert tests, after prolonged exposure to heat (like say, you might expect to find in the fucking middle east) many of the armor cells de-laminated and slid down into vest leaving unprotected holes. dragonskin is as bullshit as its PR campaign.
you know whats not bullshit? ESAPI plates that are PROVEN combat effective in all situations.

this was said of the first prototypes of it not the newer versions im not up to date on the newer version 5, i agree it its better then interceptor, go look at jawbreaker2delta.blogspot(dot)com/2007/06/fk-dragon-skin(dot)html for why army said it fails

"Pieces of the hefty Dragon Skin armor, with ragged holes torn through its yellow inner skin, were propped up on the floor in the Pentagon, as Army officials systematically detailed the battery of ammunition and temperature testing the armor failed."
So basically in most of the news articles they said the military did test it and failed because of temperature. Im a bit confused now.
dinmagic (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
I've heard that someone did test it a while ago and it failed because the material couldn't resist the harsh conditions (well, that's all I could remember). Even guns fail to work if you get sand or if there is change in the temperature. But hey If the Soldiers like it then I have no problem with it.

ballistic protection = Winner Dragon Skin
what about the environment and is it durable enough to withstand it, not just bullet solider need armor that last for a long time even if it doesn't shot at.

One thing about Dragon Skin? would it fall apart since because it's not one solid piece like the INTERCEPTOR. |
