I completely agree; however I think that didn't happen because of the conservative rules applied in the UK for knighting somebody, as I have heard.

You're all missing the point. Liza's style was completely irrelevant. She was a close friend of Freddie's. Some say she was even a romantic interest of his and considering he was homosexual, that's really saying something. The point, is that no-one would have met with more approval from Freddie than Liza. As I said before - her style was irrelevant.

Liza has a style: it's storytelling when she sings. She talks, she sings, she talks, she sings. This makes for her trademark heavy-vibrato at times, but she's just such a presence on stage that you get lost in the journey. Watch some of her videos here on YouTube. Look up "Teach Me Tonight". Just great!
