I agree, I am also a qualified makeup artist, and every makeup artist uses different techniques to produce the same outcome, also it depends on the canvas they are working on, as everyone has different eye shapes and, using certain techniques are more easier than others depending on your clients features.

you can always go to your local mall, and set up an appt with your fav cosmetic counter. they're there to help you, and can teach you how to create a look and what colors to do it with.

TSjillian29 you're just being a snob.never is there ONE way to do smokey eye. smudging out a liner, adding a deep color in the outer corner and blending, etc. if it works, rock it people. just blend well!
OR LADIES, JUST GO AND SET UP AN APPT AT MAC OR ANY COSMETIC COUNTER AND THEY CAN SHOW ON YOUR OWN EYESHAPE HOW TO CREATE A SMOKEY LOOK.
they're there to help :) and i'm a makeup artist too, it's all about open minded-ness. not everyone knows what a makeup artist does on how to create looks.

lighter colors make smaller eyes pop, like purples to browns with a light touch of metallic, but definitely use less black.
