I think the massive budget deficit MIGHT be attributed to the Congress as well as GWB. However, Congress, mainly the Republicans, gave George Bush his 3 massive tax cuts. And George Bush, unlike most Republicans, proposed a MASSIVE $400 billion Medicare prescription drug benefit (that the Democrats didn't particularly like because it's tilted toward drug companies). Excuse me, but what is Bush's excuse for the first SIX YEARS of his administration when he had a REPUBLICAN majority? Each of those SIX YEARS was marked by heavy deficit spending, yet Bush NEVER vetoed a spending bill during those SIX YEARS. Do your homework and come back.
