Humans and dinosaurs lived at the same time, that's why human footprints have been found within dinosaur footprints. But they didn't get along well, and so the dinosaurs were hunted. They say behind most legends is some element of truth. We have so many legends of humans hunting creatures like dragons. Climate change after Great Flood didn't help dinosaurs either
Moses, inspired of God, wrote Genesis, 1st 5 books of the Bible

pronatalist... congratulations you are officially the most barmy person on the entire planet!! WELL DONE. by the way... where do the dinosaurs fit in..? and who do you think wrote Genesis..? I am impressed you have spoken to God about this matter. You put too much faith into a piece of fiction... the Bible. Be a rebel, think for yourself. Question what you are told. Humans are meant to be evolved creatures... use your advanced brain.

What makes you think I haven't done much reading on the subject? I had college textbook saying things like, "at current rates it may not be long before we all reach standing room only conditions," and graph showing each billion coming faster than the previous.
So human pop is not "static," but inherently unstable, prone to grow. Why? Probably because God deliberately made humans that way. For some profound reason. Library had pro-pop optimistic articles and books about pop.

I know land is limited. I read in Genesis that Abraham and Lot's tribes decided to spread farther apart, to have more comfortable room to grow. But grow they did, and then larger #s reconverged again. Now with frontiers supposedly vanishing, and with better pop-driven technology towards denser pops, it makes much sense, to encourage numerous villages, towns, cities, to grow larger and closer together, to fit lots more people onto planet.
What of freedom/choice to breed?

To charliefarley87:
And if humans tend to spread like some sort of "plague," what of it? Humans are about the highest form of life we know of on this planet. It's not my idea, but God's. God promised Abraham descendents so numerous as to become nearly as uncountable as the stars of the sky, or the grains of sand of the seashore. Better analogy is that of a naturally-progressing planetary "pregnancy." Somebody wrote that Gaia really does want, need to have this "baby," so others see similar idea

Let world pop rise to 164 billion by 2150, if that's where it's going. By then, such a massive human pop would seem just normal and natural, as who alive then, would remember a world so sparcely populated as ours?
Why doesn't it occur to people, that babies want to be conceived and come alive and be born, no matter how many people they later find themselves having to share the planet with. Parents in the world's most populous nations, feel reproductive urges as powerful as ever

Pronatalist... I suggest that you take yourself off to the library and take a book out (other than the Bible) to read and you may be surprised. You may actually make a few realisations. I seriously suggest that you do this because you have some very out-dated views.

Pronatalist. it is very touching you believe in 'pro-life.'It comes across to me that you want humans to spread like some sort of plague. We are not vermin we have the knowledge that there is a limited amount of land and resources in the world. I don't agree with forced abortions, sterilisations, and I don't like the resulting massive male to female ratio, but encouraging as many children as poss is utter stupidity because they are more likely to be in poverty because of a straining economy!

The one child policy was a good idea, but China did little against poverty. Richer countries, like Europe, have lower births and the population goes down (today).
