GREAT VIDEO. Note: The mage is NOT the first one pulling. Other raiders should be TO THE LEFT OF YOU and not standing back in the doorway to the room. The distances between the orge, the mage, and the healer. (Perfect in this video) This orge does AOE (area of effect damage)so keep proper distance. Spell steal: If your in mid cast of fire/ice bolt when this orge shields, JuMp to cancel cast, so you can cast spell steal instead. I had 7500 health unbuffed and 9032 health when buffed. GREAT VIDEO.

Not really, I tanked him with my PvP gear which had no more then 8.5k mana and never had mana problems.

I'll say any mage spec can tank Gruul. The most important aspect is to be using your spell steal to get that shield and any mitigating shields to mitigate damage when the shield is down. For frost, this is easy since we can use ice barrier, fire ward and if necessary to live, mana shield. For a fire mage its easy to pull because of scorch, but a frost mage can simply use icy veins and throw a frostbolt. You won't need icy veins to tank because if you do, you'll run out mana

thanks, the first time i went to gruuls and my group said bring in the mage tank im all laughing and then this mage with like 15k health comes in and starts the fight im like OMG R U KIDDING ME i didnt know that your supposed to mage tank him, i screamed in raid I FINALY FOUND OUT WHAT THE STAMINA CLOTH GREEN CRAP ITEMS ARE FOR!!!!!! TANKING GRUULS! lol the group payed me to get full stamina greens on my pally and i hade 16k health no stats no mana no anything and their like tank in that.
