I'd recommend starting w/ either the Warhammer Fantasy Battles rulebook if you're interested in the tabletop miniature wargame, or with a copy of the Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay if you're interested in the pen-and-paper RPG. Either way, both books are a decent jump off point as far as background to the Warhammer Fantasy world/setting is concerned.

This looks so much like what warhammer should be, rather than "funny" stuff. Like the old background books and the p&p game were :)
