I paid nothing for Ubuntu and compiz. In other words (at least in your case), you get what you pay for! But I love compiz, nevertheless.

so why again is having four unique desktops not useful? sorry but I put them to use daily.
so your whole eye candy thing just goes out the door for being opinion based. and I also feel the wobbly windows put me in a better mood and allow me to work for longer periods of time. Just say you prefer Mac OS and stop being an abrasive person. I'm not smashing your opinions at all. I'm smashing your attitude.

No, quite the contrary; I paid Apple lots and lots of money to be able to realize this on my own.

Plus Linux release them first and much cheaper than it costs for overpriced Apple...

an Operating System is like a flavor. You choose which one you like the most and use it. You don't see anyone arguing about how much better Easy-Mac is than Spaghetti O's or vise versa. So chill out. Every operating system has it's strong points and weak pits. get over it.

Did apple pay you to say that?
blazintildadeath (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
but still all those useful tools that your getting in a mac are already happening in linux.

The key difference between Apple eye candy and Linux eye candy is that Apple's shit actually has a purpose and/or makes sense. I don't think anyone has a true need for wobbly rubber windows and superc00lh4x raindrops on their desktop.

How do you get laid using computers in general? I Actually do want you to answer that. |
