Idina, as the actress to originate this role on the broadway stage, is...the best. Being a great actress does not mean hitting every single note on perfect pitch every single performance. Rather, it's about a character and his/her embodiment. She gives beyond a hundred percent with her raw emotions and deep sensibilities. Just watch her eyes. She is a consummate actress and professional. So to me, she IS Elphaba. NO further explanation needed.

Am I the only one who thinks that Idina is overrated? I've seen Wicked countless times but Idina never impressed me that much..

yay Idina! I love her. Such a lovely mezzo-soprano voice. After so many musicals full of sopranos, it's nice to hear a beatiful mezzo voice

althought alot of other elphabas have done a million different riffs in this song and in others in the show...i still think idina is the one who really nailed the character.
