im not african american but D's words even influenced me to value equality and diversity. i love this album and im glad that ive taken the time to dig deeper into classic hip hop. i wont even touch the current commercial garbage. only hip new hip hop worth listening to is indie

P.E.'s "It takes a nation of Millions" forever changed the way i listened to and understood music, at the time it was a true eye and mind opening sonic assault for that 15yr old kid living in Reno, NV. Listening to it now I realize it's held it's value and then some, this is really timeless stuff, how lucky I was to get exposed to it.
