Reading the comments i see that eople are stupid really, they're so fast on saying the NIN version sucks just cause Johnny was older and died..Trent wrote the song, without the genius lyrics cash would have never madea song as good as Trents.There's no way his version is better..It's easier the other way around.

What I really enjoy about this song is how easily you can relate it to different things.

You're an NIN fan, and this song was written in '94... and covered by Johnny Cash in 2002.

Both artists had valid reasons for this song. Trent Reznor was in a state of depression when he wrote this song, and Cash had done things that he regretted. I enjoy both versions of these songs very much, but I just thought you should know that if you listen to the original, you can hear the stress, worry, and fear in Trent's voice.
Once again, I really enjoy both of these songs. This is not trying to put down what you said, I just felt like I should say something about your comment.
