I don't think US government is a directly responsible for 9/11, but the fact is that US sold weapons and promoted Afghan war when it served US's interests (get URSS of Afghanistan).
I'm sorry, but US government is everything but innocent.
I'm sorry for the real innocents, the US citizens that died in 9/11, for their families, all those killed in the Afghan and Iraq wars.
