PART II is now available on Youtube and at: (www.nlcnet.org/article.php?id=243) In the global economy, corporations demand enforceable laws - intellectual property and copyright laws - backed up by sanctions to protect their products. However, when we ask these same companies, "Can't we also protect the rights of the 16-year-old who made the product?," the companies respond: "No. That would be an impediment to free trade!" Young garment workers in Bangladesh share their experiences working for companies like Disney and Wal-Mart.

on more thing, besides what kaytee said: there are many others willing to take your place if you choose to leave the job, since its quite a poor country. They have no efficacy to affect their employers

Ethical & moral values are demanding something from those who are not illegitimate.

Your are absolutely right, all economic inequalities are the result of materialistic Approach towards Life. Hoarding, monopoly, oligopoly, cartels are exploiting ordinary Human Beings. I think our job is to unveil these outcomes of globalization by our actions. What is the best economic system in the World? I think the best system in the world is one which is based on moral & ethical Values rather than on mathematical Values or statistics. Spirtual economic system is the best.

These women have no other choice. Living in a country as over populated as Bangladesh and as over used as Bangladesh the women are not giving many options for their future. They do not have the luxuries like we do, they don't get to choose either college or work, this is all they have. Be thankful for where you live and be aware of the consequences of your actions. in their life it is a fight to survive.

If that were possible, China would not have been poor in the first place. All of the Asian 'tiger' economies have grown wealthy through an export driven development strategy. But actually, with the U.S. dollar appreciating in relation to the Yuan, the Chinese are beginning to sell more of their products at home, thanks in part to the large inflow of American capital from export sales. That's the beauty of free trade.
