I went to Ballarat this year for a grade 5 excursion and it was raining down there. And the water was cold in that water it has real gold in it but the gold is tiny.

i live in ballarat and dont come here in the winter its way too cold and it rains plus the snow sometimes all the time you will have more fun in summer.

I live on the other side of the hill. I can hear the steam engines and gun shots all the time...drives me crazy. Still a very cool place to go and visit.

I've been there too! I also went to the Gold Museum across the street. Whats funny is that, I traveled 3000 miles and inside the museum all I saw was a REPLICA of the largest gold nugget ever found (it really was found about 20 miles from the museum itself back in like 1850 or something). Well I live in Las Vegas and the REAL nugget is about a mile and a half from my house in a bullet-proof case inside the lobby of the Golden Nugget!
