I am not at odds with myself over anything, so I'm not so sure you even understand what that means.
I get a big kick however whenever I see his fellow athiest buddies come to his aid whenever someone disagrees with him, or just states that they don't like him. It's okay, really it is. He will have much, much more company n the afterlife than I will, LOL!

I HAVE seen him speak,I have seen enough interviews, and have read enough about Hitchens,to know that I will never read one of his books.
Look, I am not interested in debating what I think about Hitchins, and you should not feel as though you need to defend him. He has enough ego for the both of us and much, much more.
I am not a Psychiatrist and doubt you are one either, so your "cognitive dissonance" statement is unfounded, because I am not nor have I made a contradictory remark.

Atheism does not mean you don't care. Atheism just means not believing in god(s).
If you think he only fights Christianity you have obviously not read his books or heard him speak.
You seem to have a strong case of cognitive dissonance.
Criticizing religion in any way is considered taboo. It is held off the table of discussion, which really shouldn't be.
We have better explanations for disease, agriculture, the stars, planets, etc. now than ever before. None of them include magic men.

Case proven. Waterboarding is torture... if he could only handle it for twenty seconds imagine what it is like for 30min, 40min etc. How dare the US go against the Geneva Conventions whenever they feel like it!

I said it because of his agenda. For someone to claim he is an athiest and be so bent to destroy Christianity is very confusing, as well as insulting! Why would someone that claims athiesm go so far out of his way to insult Believers when he really, according to his own belief shouldn't even care? Confusing. Maybe not a death sentance, but crazy nonetheless. I don't care for hm because he is extremely rude as well as arrogant beyond that of a cartoon.
